Fleet Appoint Consultant

Gravesend & Northfleet have appointed Frank Walter to work with the club as a consultant for a three month period. Chairman Brian Kilcullen stated "there is a lot happening at the club at present with projects such as Beauwaters, negotiations with our landlord and ground criteria to be worked on. This is in addition to normal day to day matters and, of course, trying to get the right replacement in for Andy Ford. I will continue as CEO but Frank, who has a wealth of business and sales experience to bring to the club, will assist in this area and projects such as Beauwaters. We propose to recruit a new CEO in due course once existing projects are hopefully finalised and we can then clearly define the role and the type of person needed".

Well it seems sensible to have someone on board with experience in these areas. Has the purchase of Beauwaters been successful?

In my experience, Consultants come for three months, end up staying for twice that long and charge you a fortune for telling you the bleeding obvious!

 

Hopefully his fee is not coming out of the transfer kitty.

My experience of consultants being a civil servant (going to hide now!!!) is dire. Let's hope this one actually does some good for the club.

Would be good to get an 'outsider' persepctive on the daily business matters of the club though Col. Just hope he can advise the right way to turn the club into a multi-million pound concern..!!

Be careful what you say about the Hornchurch Financial Position........Uncle Urchin has been threatening Legal Proceedings against anyone who voices an opinion. Posts have been confiscated for that reason........Funny how somebody who isn't a Moderator or Administrator has that power!
