Today's game

Recommended Posts

We were playing well for the first 30 minutes or so until they scored against run of play. then they scored again. and we lost it. Even Proferoe in the radio said that they lost it after the 2nd goal. he made the very good point of a team cant get bad overnight, and how they have gone from 3rd to 14th/15th is weird. Also interesting point, Chris Kineear was interviewed and he didn't deny about coming to Gravesend. he said any manager coming in would love it because its a challenge. Even after the performance today, we cannot rush things and get a poor manager in. We should bide some time and think the long term.

Good win for us today. 5-0 flattered us but then again we could have had two pens and another goal at least. Clark's goal was an absolute screamer wasn't it.

I thought your lot never really looked like actually scoring despite loads of good posession. Griffiths took two off the line though. Too many times it was eight or ten passes then give it away without anyone ever trying to play a killer ball.

You'll be OK, keep the faith and find a forward.

today we were really good for 28 minutes then Pullen off his line LOB 1-0 then he gets LOBED again 2-0. we were dead then.

Chris Kinnear sounded like he would want the job as i think he knows Margate are gonas.

need a manager before Histon or they could well beat us, and get rid of Roy hopeless today didn't want the ball at all and his first touch let him down every time.

good programme though.

Been saying 4 a while Roy is not the player he was. Personally, and they have been top players at times, I would also lose Manny, Jacko, Moussa and Pinns. We do need to replace those that are clearly not at the standard we require.

Tough job for any new manager, but he will have to be ruthless to did us out of the hole.

Surprised you'd like to dump Manny and Moussa. Only question mark about Manny is his injury, but he's one of only a couple of players who is capable of unlocking a defence. Moussa also can go past players, and is capable of giving a good cross, unfortunately during the last couple of games Roy hasn't put them away. Agree about Pinnock and Jackson though.

Manny spends most of his game falling over, the remainder of the game looking for fouls and penalties. As for Moussa, reminds me of Tostao Kwashi, brilliant at times, but no end product. Wolud make a good conf. South player though.

Manny is Conference no doubt, and Moussa no end product? well there would be if someone could put the bloody ball in the net. When I looked at the team today there's was only one player who I thought looked remotely like scoring, and that was Jay. Who would you keep then Gary?

Pullen, Prothers Porter, McCarthy, Bunce, Skins, Jay, Macca, Surey, Davis, Harrhy, Islam? Conkers, Luke Moore , Dukebox, Wilko. That is a sound starting squad of 16 to build on. We would need at leat 2 more midfielders and 2 strikers proven at Conference level.

We need to rebuild.

And we need to start 10 minutes after we appoint our new manager.

I would lose Manny, brilliant at times but a very expensive and injury prone luxury for the Fleet. Moussa needs to be brought into game more, as Skinns did with a great pass today and would have resulted in a goal if we had A striker. Proths actually passed to Mousse once today!

Agree with previous posts of the game today, 30 mins OK and then the two lobs over Pullen. Daggers never really dominated the game but took shots from everywhere and they all went in, well nearly all!!

I agree with what Proths said on RK, apart from Barnet, Carlisle & Hereford the rest are all mediocre teams. This is certainly the poorest or should I say evenly balanced league compared to the past few years.

The team needs to go through a complete rebuild, in my opinion, and I'm sure even AF would agree he's left the team in a right mess.

Also agree with others that Roy & Pinno have had their chances and should be on their way.

I still thought we would get something from today's game with or without AF but the team just folded after their second lobbed in.

Find that new manager and get shot of half the current squad, soon....

Well you anti-Ford fans were right, life is better without Andy.

Not a go at you though FF, I understand what you mean when you say we could never have gone forward under Ford.

Not exactly pro-Ford either is it Harry. So stop grovelling to FF. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

See your point but FF wasn't calling for Andy's head like some were he was just saying we can't move forward under Andy.
