I thought he had a trial there to start off with. I thought I heard, or read that helped keep a clean sheet in pompey reserves v arsenal reserves. Maybe I dreamt it tho lol

Mind you, from what I can understand, Portsmouth would look at almost anyone at the moment.

I know he had a trial with Portsmouth at the beginning of the seasonm so the good authority may well be out of date, or they have had second thoughts now that Harry has gone elsewhere.

i was watching sky sports news the other day and they mentioned zelkjo popovic was having a trial, i assumed this was rubbish research out of date from beginning of the season, but maybe not....anyone know anymore?

Popovic did have trials at Pompey pre-season, along with fifty plus other players (all of whose names elude me), Pompey's interest was never followed up, Harry Redknapp never considered him. He also featured at Hornchurch FC where 'Hillsy' (always a class act for spotting talent - NOT)thought he was okay. His agent though, was touting him around looking for a good deal for him, the best they could get was at Stonebridge Road with Andy Ford, definitely not financial but a longer term offered, hence he opted to stick it out here until something bigger and better came along.
