...injuries are about to play a major role as to the destination of this season's title.

With brers Bonham and Carr seeing red for Barkingside on Monday, surely that warrants a double 35-day, and it is about this time of the season when the five bookings rule kicks in. Who has got the squad big enough to cope with these problems?

I know the Townies, as well as Romford and Wabbey have a few long-term injuries to overcome, so it leaves Burnham Stranglers with a free run at the moment.

Looking at the rest of the fixtures, there are going to be quite a few points dropped at the top as they all meet each other in the near future. Romford have played every side above them twice (except Southend), but I think we have lost two games too many to be in with a shout...So it's a fifth-place for the third year on the trot I suppose!

I reckon the two sent off on Monday will, with appeals, manage to get through the rest of the season before they're suspended.

 

A couple of seasons ago we actually had a player given a seven-day suspension that started on the Monday after our final game.

Another case of joined-up thinking I presume. We had a player this season who got seven days and never missed a game! Better still, I think I am correct in saying we had a guy back in 1994-5 who picked a 35-dayer and he never missed a game!
