How come he missed out on the likes of Hatch and Drury? As for picking up Jay I don't know what level Margate were at that time. Manny was hardly a youngster.

Drury and Hatch - he can't be expected to sign EVERY promising youngster.

Jay began his career at the Fleet, which is where CK got him from.

Manny was at Oxford, a regular league player, and only loaned to Margate, so that's hardly a CK discovery.

what has he done lately,he has 8 of the team that played in the con, they are in his team now and look were they are near the bottom, times have moved on since. he is a current manager not doing well, we need a manager who has drive contacks,we need someone that is doing well now that can take us on to the next level not stand still,he would be no better than andy so why go for him, football has changed its about the young man comeing through, like the exter manager, i dont think we should go with someone that did it 5 years ago its now that matters, and i dont think finishing 10 is great, you can see what can be done with a part time club just look at crawley if you have the right man in charge

he has done magic with the gate just to keep them up is a job in its self but to get 5 promotions as a manager is amazing.

Don't forget the four relegations though.

With the utmost respect David when has it been that whilst at the gate since 1996 Kinnear has been in relegation. We obviously dont include this latest self-inflicted demotion from off-field activities. In fact we had always been on the up and our arrival in the conference was the highest position we had ever been.Who knows how far he COULD have taken us if it wern't for the last couple of years.

No but they were right under his nose at Sittingbourne and Herne Bay, and he was well aware of them, as were countless league clubs.
Feather in Andy Fords cap for picking those two up.

To be fair CK has got a great record of keeping crap clubs in the conference.

Just think what he might be able to do with a good one ..
Thats why he wont be coming to you lot

We have to have a new manager in place for the next league match, and we have to get Kinnear, he knows the players and he knows the Conference. He's the man to restore morale and confidence. We've some very good players, but at the moment we are lacking in certain areas, most notably upfront. Maybe it's not the right time for him to move, but every effort must be made to get him in pronto

Although he did say he has made no contact with the Fleet.

Well then he won't be in the running.
The positions isn't being advertised as several applications have already been received.

Yeah but then you always hear this sort of thing they deny their interested and then they turn out to be the one.

When Andy left I was one hundred percent for Hill now its more like 65-35 in favour of Hill

Our rivalry has gone out of the window since our efforts to save our club lately and its with many thanks to your supporters who have supported us. This is no pre-sour grapes but I think CK is a magnificent manager, loyal and sincere. Gets the most out of players. However he is a man for getting clubs into the conference and keeping them there. He hasn't had the experience or records of going any further than that. He may not be able to make that step further. So if its stability you want you couldnt ask for a better gaffer. But if its further progress out of the conference then maybe you would be disappointed. Maybe given the cash and players he could do that. We dont want to lose him as he would almost certainly get us back into your league if we were to win through against the odds here with the council and with a lifting of the transfer embargo. If he does go,as his interview sounded like, it would almost insure you of your conference standing but as for further progression then I have my doubts as to him being able to go that step further.
