Long story Ryan. Saved the Club in Jan 1998, 48 hours before being wound up by Revenue. Struggled for three years to pay off the debts I inherited.

 

Agreed a CVA to sort out the debts once and for all in the company in October 2001, that would've cost me another £45k, but lost the support of the supporters and resigned as Chairman in November. Put the Club up for sale for a pound.

 

When St. Albans were suspended in January 2002 I owned 80% of the shares but had stepped down as Chairman.

 

Wrote off my loans and gave my shares away to John Gibson, who paid the £45k to clear the debts in February 2002.

 

Made mistakes, but did my best. Learned a lot, lost a lot and am wiser for it.

 

Wasn't all bad tho' had a lot of fun with Hill & Dowie. Trophy Semis in 1999, etc.

 

Still stick by "when you stop enjoying it, stop doing it"

It turns out that none of 'em actually support St. Albans. There 'St. Albans General Chat' board is nothing more than a Tottenham message board. Check it out, they've even got some Spurs mad Dutch bloke on there.
