Tonight's Game

Recommended Posts

A good first half performance, with definite signs that the team is starting to gel, even though Castle was unavailable through injury. The second half was a distinct disappointment, probably due to the continual changes being made.

On the plus side - Crawshaw,Challinor, Moran, Martin, Hollenbeck

On the minus side - De Souza, Naylor

I think Naylor done well tonight, Oakes looked classy and Challinor will be without doubt one of the leagues star players this season, methinx a wise move to get him on contract.

De Souza seemed to be trying TOO hard on Saturday and again seemed lacklustre tonight, but to be fair hes hardly kicked a ball for a year. Smith for me has been a disapointment all pre season and it will be interesting to see that if his replacement during his impending suspension plays well, if Smith goes straight back in!

tonights team was; Wilmot, Gould, Hollenbeck, Townley, Moran, Challinor, Oakes, Evans, Martin, Crawshaw, Smith>

Subs; De Souza, Naylor, Beevor, Ayres, Kean

Challinor was the best player on the park by a long, long way last night, he reminded me of Lenny Piper at times with some of his touches. When Castle is fit and Beevor and Smith start playing to their potential we'll be spoilt for choice in the midfield. Up front is still a worry though. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/biggrinangelA.gif" alt="" />
