Indeed. It's self-defeating arguing why people don't go to games. They've got their own reasons and why others should feel superior that they've made it to a game ahead of someone else, I don't know.

Its not self defeating arguing why people dont go to games.

Our only chance of success is getting more to go to games, if we can't persuade the regulars what chance do we have.

Yes the entrance fee was too much last night, but it was not something that the club could do anything about.

Was it Andy that has taken he club has far as he could, or has the club gone as far as it could ... It remains to be seen.

What I meant is it's self-defeating if people come on and slag others off for not going to an evening cup tie when they find it difficult to do so. This "I'm at every home and away game, why aren't you?" mentality is just a bit sniffy.

Agreed Stu.

Most of us are stupid enough to go to every game we can, I can't say I was inundated with fellow supporters at Leigh or Eastbourne but if people go as often as they can then it's fair enough.

January is hard for people financially as it is and sometimes leisure and other interests have to be cut down.

I.ve got no excuse for not going last night. Me, I'm a part time punter, if they play rubbish then I for one will not pay to watch rubbish football. I'd sooner give the entrance fee to charity. Perhaps the Fleet should apply for charity status.

I wouldn,t mind if they lost as long as they played entertaining football

That's the spirit Bill, sticking with the club through the hard times - good on you. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

On a less sarcastic note, there are some good points being made here, and I'm in agreement with most of you on at least something. Of course people shouldn't be scorned for not going to games when they have a valid excuse - the fact is that there are very few people who can get to every game in a season. But as Wobbly says, support for a club 'punching above its weight' is crucial, and I know that I for one will be watching the side play on EVERY occasion that I possibly can.
