I liked the way they backed a meat wagon onto the plane to take them out.

And they could of been held for 14 days without charge under the terrorism act in this country but have been released after one. Good to see the British Bobbies sorting it all out in 24 hours whereas the yanks couldn't do it in 3 years.

I can see a law suit heading the way of the USA, me thinks!

Well as far as I remember the last time we were attacked was when the IRA were at the height of their powers and we didn't go rounding up the Irish and holding them for years without charge.

Like I said, if you go round plucking people off with supected links to terror then fine, but you must surely have some form of evidence and this evidence should be enough to charge them with, if not let them go.

It'll be like me arresting you because I suspect that at one point in the future you may be drunk and disorderly

Why don't we just allow gyppo's everywhere to burgle our houses without fear of reprisal?

Mate, your politics make no sense. And whenever you realise you're losing an argument, you come out with piffle like "it'll be like me arresting you because I suspect that at one point in the future you may be drunk and disorderly".

Quite right EFMTFTV. It was far more civilised in those days. They were charged and convicted all right. Freed on Appeal 20 years later, however.

The Authorities have learnt their lesson from those days. No reason to bother with due process, for Heaven's sake. Just lock 'em up.
