I remember back in my playing days I was never that keen on heading the ball - rock hard with laces they were. Still, being tall, I went up for a corner just to show willing. The ball came over, and I thought I'd jump for it, make it look good, but make sure I didn't quite get to it. Mistimed my jump so badly, I met the ball perfectly, and glanced it into the corner, then tried to look as though I meant it!

I was asked to play in a dads match twice, first on pitch, headed the ball and nearly knocked myself out, goalie's never shown how to head a ball, second time landed on my bad side whilst saving a shot, couldnt get up, stretcher, blue light, oxygen and a fast race to Oldchurch Hosp. badly bruised ribs, prat me thought I am 41 at the time and thought I was 18, if you read this chop 5 years ago, and still got it I mean had it.
