Frus has had nothing to do with the club for 14months. Oh that is why we have been suspended from the league then. I know all STFC fans hearing the current situation will be terribly upset and now may not be the time to start recriminations and yes maybe Mr. Deaner will be able to meet these conditions and see the suspension lifted. But where does that leave us? With the winding up still hanging over us as the full debts will not have been paid, with a small playing squad and a bunch of trialists, with one year left at an underdeveloped ground and no immediate hope of a new one. There is little any of us can do save for hope of a lottery win. This summer was going too well and now a black dog is on our shoulder again.

Nothing new there then as far as duff summers go. Thought there was a league problem before with players having contracts with FRUS rather than Slough Town. Perhaps an existing or one of the many explayers can confirm?

But at least theres the gigantic comfort that Mr Deaner is "working tirelessly" to put it right (!!!) There has been discussion before about going the St Albans route. Perhaps now time has really run out to sit back. After all the deadline league date is not even the "two weeks" away the club usually needs to get as much as pumping up a ball done and dusted.

Also can we take it Staines are not allowed to play us? After all, what's the difference realy in a midweek or weekend match?
