Tonbridge away!

Okay can anyone offer advice as to how to get to Tonbridge from Chatham via train and then from Tonbridge to Gravesend on the night of our game in the KSC? I'll be at Chatham station for about 17:30 so that should leave me plenty of time and coming back should be a doddle. I have to be up the next day at 5:30, that won't be so easy.

 

Also I will need to know what station and directions to the ground. Cheers.

Its awkward from Chatham, Harry - you will need to go to Strood, then change to Medway Valley Line for Paddock Wood and change there for Tonbridge.

 

6.01 pm from Strood gets to Paddock Wood at 6.49.

 

Train to Tonbridge leaves at 7.12 pm gets to Tonbridge at 7.19 pm.

it was all going well on the site untill i tried to look at details and it jsut gave me a "this page is currnely unavailable" page

The answer is - you can go via either route.

Neither is that much quicker.

 

17.37 GRAVESEND

18.34 LONDON BRIDGE

19.09 TONBRIDGE

DURATION: 1:32

 

17:38 GRAVESEND

18:01 STROOD

19:12 PADDOCK WOOD

19:19 TONBRIDGE

DURATION: 1:41

 

17:52 GRAVESEND

18:47 LONDON BRIDGE

19:22 TONBRIDGE

DURATION: 1:30

 

Choice is yours, but I know which route I'd prefer.....

Tunnel not "under repair" now !! Has been reopened !!

 

The only problems with the route via London are the cost (likely to be greater via London??) and the fact that you only have 5 minutes to get from the arrival in London Bridge to the departure platform (and how often are SE Trains on time??)

The only problem with going via Strood & Paddock Wood is that there won't be a train to bring you home that way after the match finishes. The last train from Paddock Wood to Strood leaves Paddock Wood at 21.00!

 

So I think that the answer to your question is to travel via London?

Yes..... but as already stated, there's no train to bring you back via Strood.....
