As in rate Jay?... Get real FF, he has brought a lot of strength to our midfield, and a few good goals as well.

I have watched many games, and clearly Jay is always strong/hungry...!! More so than other more seasoned Fleet players.. and of course I'm gonna be a bit biased, but I call it as I see it.

Taken a straw poll of the blokes that stand with you, have you?

Not exactly a cross-section of the Fleet support.

I'm not raving about him the way Paul Harrison did when he signed, but other than a lack of pace, he can hardly be singled out for being slagged off all the time.

I think McCarthy bring experince and solidness to the back four, back probably need someone like Bunce or Porter alongside to help with cover as pace is not his strong point. But then most Central defenders are not the fastest, it is about positional sense in the main. As for rating players, Pullen looks a good keeper, Skinner has always given his all, Drury has the class just needs to be more consistent, Manny has the class but needs to stay fit, Saunders has been consistent and added goals. We are carrying a few and I have been disappointed with Essandoh and Sidibe recently.

Pullen, (good to see his kicking improving so much.)

What, you mean after the one game when his kicking just happened to be below standard? That game was ostensibly a one-off, and yet everyone then came to the conclusion that his kicking was poor.

Well, Barnet for one. It wasn't as its worst in that game, but he did bugger up a few, and there were comments on this forum about it at the time. Then against Accrington I think was when it was at its worst, as I remember getting into the car after the game and mentioning it to my mum's boyfriend (who went to the Barnet game but not the Accrington one) and he seemed to agree that he was a bad kicker straight away.

Ok, so maybe 2 games...I just said three as there was a chance it may have been poor in the away game in between those that I didn't attend.

When we played Crawley after that, first time the ball was played back to his all the Fleet fans stood around me went "Oooooooh!" but he kicked it away well all game. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
