Eastleigh 0 - 4 Slough

Recommended Posts

Team was Parkin, Carbon, Murphy, Daly, Saulsbury, Haddow, Spencer, Harris, Hodges, Seedel, Metcalfe.

Difficult to single out any one player, other than Alex for his goals, as it was an awesome team performance. Best of the season by a mile but no more than we know we're capable of. Today's display is exactly the reason some people get disappointed because we know we can play this well sometimes, just not often enough.

Sorry to see Mets run straight off at the end without acknowledging the fans. Hope that wasn't as a result of some deserved recent criticism. Today, though, he was absolutely superb as they all were.

No subs used

Goals by Haddow 3 & Harris

Didn't get all the times, but the first one was on 20mins. and we were 3 - 0 up at HT.

Totally bossed the game start to finish. Seedal hit bar & post (should have scored on both occasions)and they managed 2 efforts on target and only one effort on goal first half.

How are they 2nd? Either they were poor today or we were outstanding. I prefer the latter.

Glen Harris MOM for me, but there were 11 stars.

Just thought it worth a mention that our first game without Steve Browne at the helm resulted in our first away win of the season. Surprised ??

Err, no, not surprised one bit. Everybody thinks we're just bitter when we say how crap he is but in time, they realise it for themselves. Well done.

well done dover, not an easy game and a good one to pull off...

was amazed today at quality of our beloved slough, haven't been that proud since walsall...

alex is easily my man of the match (as well as of the season and slough sports personality of the year) but solid perfromacnes from glen harris and a surprisingly good metcalfe also helped...

like ian said, everyone really came together today and ian hodge, spencer and seedel were v unlucky not to score

well worth the pouring rain and the bruises i've picked up from the pre-match kick about
