New Shirts and other topics.....

Nice new shirts ( even saw 3 lads wearing them when I got back to The Central yesterday !!). However, isn't the player's name on the back a bit small ?? Or is the size of print governed by some arty farty, namby pamby, fannying about, FA rule ??

What was the attendance yesterday ?

Nice to see the club making a nice profit on bar takings. Well, I assume they are as I purchased the last pint of Foster's at half time !!

..and, Brian will be pleased to know that I am not suing the club for damages for injuries sustained after walking into the bramble growing through the roof of the Gents !!

Cheers,

Oddly enough, the size of the lettering is one of the few things that there isn't a conference rule on, well not this season anyway.

I suspect that Andy has in mind a couple of Sri Lankan signings so the lettering had to be small to fit their names on.

Seriously though I agree that it is too small, but so long as we learn from our mistakes.

Hirsty will be pleased to know that the club is not going to sue him for damaging the local flora

I must say the whole point about having names on the back of shirts

was so the crowd/TV audience could tell which players had the ball etc.

If we ever make Sky, I siuspect we may have to get the shirts redone with correct size of lettering. It is such a shame as the Kit itself is first class quality (probably the best we have ever had!) and then we screw up on this......

If all 4 Kits have been printed in the same way, will the Club be supplying Opera glasses ?

If any one is interested I have found a shop in Crayford that will hot press numbers and names (sorry but usual size leetring only) for £10 all in. I will be getting mine done this Saturday so if any interest from else where I will be gald to assist, subject to cash up front !

Please leave a message on this site and we can discuss tomorrow night. If the Club want it done properly, I can always enquire how much for job lots.

P.S. Opera glasses for sale £ 20.00 a pair.

Ah but shouldn't replica shirts be just that including having miniscule writing on the back.

No doubt the conference will bring in standard size lettering next season so we will have to scrap all of this season's shirts and start again. How much will that cost the club?

Those shirts sure do get you noticed, I was indeed one of those three lads playing pool in the Central. I agree with the lettering thing, one thing about the shirts they are bright ! May be this is because they are still new ? One thing's for sure I'll be covering up outside the Doncaster ground
