I've mentioned it before that passion is what football is all about. I firmly believe that all the bickering on here is mainly due to people have a real affinity for this club. More has happened to this club in the past four years that probably happened in the last forty. All I really hope is that all this passion can be channeled in the right direction namley progressing this club. Lets get behind the new management team and give them a chance and see what occurs. If we can keep people coming through the turnstiles I'm sure the results on the pitch will come.

not going OTT BM just marking your litle smart arses card that this is not a ferttile hunting ground for the lost cause of Romfords missing fans...you're charity knows no bounds of course....

as for the charity match...we were asked to do it and did it and raised money for your club....

can't recall you ever raising any for ours....

tell the fckn idiot to keep off here and whilst we are at it...tell your moderators to watch out for the slander and defamatory comments being posted on your own board...(and being left on there) slander can very well lead to libel....

OTT...don't think so BM...just back in business and not letting arseholes from Romfords lost cause have fun at Hx's expense....

and by the way boroman....never mind all that [censored] about special affinity...you lot have always hated Hx and when we moved in to the club in 2002 you were all besides yourself with grief...you and I sorted that out but very much against the tide....this new jumped up marketing guy is meaning well but has picked the wrong time and the wrong target....

go about your ESL business and leave us to Nationwide South business.

I think it's a credit to GH and everyone at the club that we are still 5th in the table. I think there are a lot of clubs struggling financially. If only we can avoid going into administration, then put the youth team on steroids and we'll be OK!

Quote:
Tony Choules, new manager right? Could anyone (dagger04 aka statto) give me some background info

"TONY CHOULES has declared his interest in the St Albans City job after quitting as manager of Hendon FC yesterday (Thursday)for personal reasons.

Choules said: "I think it's the kind of post that you've got to have an interest in if you're not currently with a club because St Albans are a big club.

"I don't know the closing date for apllications or how much interst there's been, but it's definitley a job I'm interested in."

Choules took over from Dave Anderson at Hendon the start of the season after a successful number of seasons with Northwood, and after having to virtually rebuild the squad from scratch, had made an impressive start to the campaign.

While manager of Northwood, Choules led the club to two promotions, the Ryman Division One North championship and both League Cup and Associate Members Trophy success.

He also discovered Scott Fitzgerald, who went on to become Watford's leading goalscorer last season.

However, despite having excellent non-league contacts, Choules was unable to bring top players to Northwood or Hendon because of the stature of the club, but, with St Albans City a bigger draw in non-league circles, that should not be a problem should he get the job at Clarence Park. Friday 5th November 2004"

Sounds positive!!!!

We were not happy but onwards and upwards...We call it the "Trophy Hangover"...play like crap and not compete before any Trophy game...beginning to wish we lost last Sat as loosing to Braintree hurt the club in the league, no matter what the score. Still we have 3 games in hand on the "Crunchers" and we'll end up higher than them...Never know, may have a replay of the match in the play off's (at New Lodge, of course).
