Nice article in todays Telegraph about our younger players - noting in particular that Luke Moore would become the youngest ever player to appear in the Conference, if he gets on the pitch on Saturday - Luke is still 96 days short of his 17th birthday and quote says "Moore impressed in Gravesend's breakaway raids, holding the ball up well, enabling them to hang on to the slender lead given to them by Manny Omoyimni's superb first half goal and surely did enough to persuade manager Andy Ford that he was worth a place again on the bench for Aldershot's visit in the Conference tomorrow."

 

Kilcullen is quoted as saying "He did exceptionally well and didnt seem overawed"

 

Mike Chatwin is also quoted "Hes a lovely player, but we have half a dozen , if not eight, with the potential to do very well"

 

Nice little boost for the youngsters in particular, and good to see that people are taking note of us still.

Having watched Luke Moore play, I'm inclined to believe that he is heading for league football in the very near future, if he doesn't get spoiled.

Well I read the article and it mades good reading for the future of the club. If a few of these youngsters come through then we will be quids in. I think we have to be impressed with the work being done by the club at that level. Let's hope Luke Moore can do something for us first before moving on!!!!!
