well about 7 or 8 of my mates sad theyd vote slough, but how many of them actually did i dont know, hopefully we can at least get shortlisted

Last year it was the kick boxing club/team/individuals who won almost everything but then I think the world champion is/was from Slough so fair enough, really.

The world kick boxing champion is from Slough - he's an old mate from school - both he and his daughter won the world championship this year as well!

i doubt the quality of finishing would have anything to do with it, nor do I think the council could afford a hi-tech ceremony

well no harm in trying - it does say you can send video clips to them for their visual presentation

At these awards last year the start was delayed by 15 minutes as the presentation, which was being back projected onto the screen, was showing the wrong way round. Complete farce followed as Steve Wickes tried to amuse the audience whilst the techies fumbled around behind the scenes.

The attendance last year by councillors was poor, I remember. It became laughable when the Mayor (Laurie Gleeson) and the deputy mayor (the asian guy) alternated in coming up to present the awards because there was nobody else to do it!
