Mayor of Slough's Annual Sports Awards 2004

I voted for Slough as club of the year:

"I think that Slough have done an excellent job over the past year. They achieved promotion to the new restructuring of the non league system at the end of last season and have reached the 2nd round of the FA Cup as well as being giantkillers against Walsall. Although their league form this season has been a little inconsistant they have had several good cup runs that continue to this day."

Maybe a little critical, but i think generally positive!

I suggest all Rebels fans do the same.

Have just posted as well come on all supporters who read but don't post on the forum this is one post you can send, Eddie and the boys deserve all the plaudits going for the success achieved in 2004.

Look at the national coverage recieved not only for the team but for the TOWN as well.

SLOUGH COUNCIL need to now we are still around and that we want our club back where they belong.

itll really let them know we're still fighting strong if we can at least get shortlisted for it, itll show them that we're worth making an effort for!

theres always at least 10 people viewing this forum whenever i am on here, surely that could mean a lot of votes?

what i mean is if those people can pass on the cause to people they know who are supporters then you could get quite a few people to vote!

I know, I was referring to the player of the round on line poll for the FA Cup first round. Which Al Haddow astoinishingly won with 80,000 votes.

It was a bit daft.

What you have to bear in mind with me is that I am only being sarcastic about 90% of the time.

Well at first he was only polling about 300, equivalent to the number of regular Slough fans. It was therefore arranged to distribute 79,700 copies of the DVD to the residents of Hinckley who clearly thought he was worthy of their votes. 300 from Slough plus the balance from Hinckley made up Al's total, I believe.
