calling stattos - (or dagger04)

following on from a thread on confguide.com/south, how many players have hornchurch played this season?

according to the thread, other clubs figs are as follows.

carshalton - 34

welling - 43

redbridge - 49!

i reckon we must be well into the 40's - can anyone clarify?

(btw - they have to have played, so jim stannard's bench appearances don't count)...

Here goes -

Number of players who have played in first team competitive matches this season - 67

Ten more have been non playing substitutes.

I have included the Essex Senior Cup as it is officially a first team competition.

Appearances -

Danny Shipp - 18 + 10 subs - total 28

Ziggy - 14 + 12 - total 26 (plus three non playing subs)

Scott Gooding - 25 + 0 - total 25 (plus one NPS)

Goals

Purser 15

Shipp 8

Caskey 7

Ziggy 6

Other landmarks -

Mark Westhead and Abi both kept a clean sheet on their debut.

Three players have scored on their debut - Mark Peters (v Dorchester), Steve Castle (at Boston), Graeme Carrick (at Eastbourne).

And two players have been sent off on their debut.

Fastest goal was Wayne Purser at Harwich - I timed it at one min 55 secs.

Latest goal was by Danny Shipp v Bognor - in the sixth minute of stoppage time in the second half.

And there have been three own goals - Neale (Harwich), Wilfort (Dulwich), Martin (St. Albans - this is as per the official St Albans web site - the goal was incorrectly awarded to another St Albans players at the time).

And Shane Huke, who was cup tied (by Camabridge City) when he made his debut at Boston, actually made his debut against Hornchurch for Cambridge City.

Hope this is of some use.
