Another good workout for Billericay. Very much looks like Calder has settled on his line up for the first match against Harrow, with the Richard Graham for Joe Baker being the only change from the Gravesend game. Goals scored by Brennan and Forrester 1st half, Baker and Carthy 2nd half. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cool_shades.gif" alt="" />

Was very encouraged with the performance. Took all our chances well and couldn't find fault with anyones apllication on the field.

We play at Great Wakering on the opening day of the season and have a coach booked to go to Southend first and then on to the ground.

 

What's the ground/Clubhouse like? How long did it take to get from Southend to Gt Wakering? I presume it didn't take more than five minutes by looking at the map, but you never know with Essex roads sometimes......

The ground is quite tidy and the pitch is one of the better ones I've seen at their level of football. The slow part of the journey will be the aproach to Southend along the A127, especially if Southend are at home. Once you leave the A127 at Cuckoos corner it takes about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. It always seems further than it looks on the map!
