Capital League Tonight

Recommended Posts

There was the usual barracking of numerous morons behind the goal. I was slated for twice kicking the ball over their keeper with awesome ball jugging/lobbing skill. Ryan (SON OF THE DEVIL) was his usual drunken self, while Dom was just Dom so received his usual quota of abuse. All in all though I don't remember any above average behaviour, although if Woody had wandered round to see us he may have been greeted with one of the numerous 'peeing' chants that we had specially prepared.

Oh what a shame. I was part of the main Stand Massive for that game. I'm guessing the seats where numbered from your cup run?

We Waz Robbed last night <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

How come Windsor had 10 subs and Slough had none!? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

1) Yup numbered the seats for the cup games - because it was all ticket and you could not have people scrapping over thier seats.

2) Shut it you muppet - you did not see much of the first half by your own admission

3) Because you have a reserve assistant manager who goes trawling bars picking up players.

it was Dave Carroll who found the goalie in the pub to be fair!

Mal was the one standing by the bench going mental at the lino and ref!

And how can you say that was not a penalty?!

Oh well...It's only the ressies

He never actually said it wasn't a penalty but by his own addmission he wasn't there.

It was a penalty, if not why did he not book him for diving, even though the lino turned round and said nice dive.

The keeper knows he was lucky not to concede the penalty and not get sent off.

We do feel we were robbed due to the penalty anbd the non existent injury time, but we did ness up for the Slough goal and missed some of the most simple chances, but on the other hand we did dominate the game and should have gone away with all the points.

Windsor people - it was Capital League you are supposed to have a laugh. Not get your knickers in a twist over a penalty appeal. Jesus.

Windsor had the better of the game against a weakened Slough reserve side, there's no denying that. Had we gone in 2-0 up at half time though, it wouldn't have looked too out of place.

Couldn't understand the 'penalty' either. The ref was a good 50 yards away so was in no position to give the penalty, but as has been said above, if Parky touched it, should have been a corner, if he didn't it was either a penalty (never a red card mainly cos it's Capital League (Harrow away last season anyone??)) or an offence by the striker for diving.

I don't think I have ever seen a card shown of any colour at a Capital League game. It is slightly different rules - or so it seems.

It sounds as if Windsor should have had a penalty or a corner. Big whup.

For the Harrow away reference above for those who weren't there, a Slough player in last season's Capital League game at Harrow saved a shot on the line with his hand. No card, no talking to, no nothing. To add salt to the wound, the penalty was saved.

That was the game which Kieran Adams (then of Windsor) scored twice for us in a 4-4 draw.

No..Mal did! Mal made all the noise (bar the stand)

Me and Chels thought it was worth at least £4 just to see Mal go mental! I'm sure he's more calm at first team games!
