A transfer is possible but I fancy a complete change. I might be tempted to try Customs and Excise. The good thing about my job is the flexitime but that is the only good thing!!

See I currently deal with some nasty cynical types (or customers as others would call them!) but I'm pretty well rewarded for it and get to do a lot of travel. Hence being on the board some days and not all the time.

 

Do you see yourelf doing sales, customer service, something a bit more specialised?

..or perhaps charging someone £39.50 for a week in July in a three birth mobile home with a view of the oil refinery?

You can't see the oil refineries from Kings, Laz.

 

Definitely don't want to do Sales and not really cut out to do customer service that's why I dislike this job at the mo.

Any sort of admin or office work would be fine just a little less contact with customers on the phones

Yellow, are you looking locally or are you prepared to travel? Perhaps CANV could get you a job at his place?

Prepared to go to London but would be an advantage if I could find something local.

I think you would have to leave home just before the early worm to travel up with Canv

You have to leave at the crack of dawn anyway just to avoid the heavy traffic getting off the Island.

I bet you don't see too much traffic going in the opposite direction.

I work in High Wycombe, I don't like it here, which is why the travelling is good!

No in Southend. Takes me about an hour to get to work of a morning. Wouldn't consider working on the Island.
