Thats what they said there names were and as I said they claimed to be committee. Ask this Barry geezer who we gave the pennant to as he was there with them. So hospitality was offered but not neccessarly to the right people.

LOL. Just got in from work and can't believe what I'm seeing. Thanks for the support from all the other ESL teams. The fact that none of thier players were booked was the point I was trying to make. The ref just booked our players. What game has one team having 5 players booked and 1 sent off and the other team none??? At least one player would from the other side. What annoyed me was the lack of facilities for our physio. Thats ridiculous when your physio can't do their job. As I stated we were poor, discipline wasn't good and we didn't deserve to win but god knows how the players felt with that ref. It's amazing no one was sent off for abusing him. And as for a player walking off. I have known this guy for years and he has played at a high level. For him to walk off shows you how bad it was. The set up over there is toilet. I will never utter a bad word again about an ESL team. You don't know what's good and bad until you see bad. I now respect the ESL alot more. And finally, Ruislip if you want a friendly on a decent pitch and at a decent ground when we have prepared properly then let us know.

Sorry all, couldn't make the game last night had to work, but after speaking to the lads and reading these posts i wish i'd have gone now. To be honest, i think that the refreshments were definatley given to a few "walk ins" are you sure Del, Rodney & Trigger wasn't in there as well, cos it sound better that a only fools and horses script.If Barry turns up at your next home match ask him for our pennant, nice gesture, just a shame it's gone four a walk.

Was at the game has a neutral.Ruislip looked ok 1st half but a srong wind and woeful goalkeeping did help.After 20 minutes a Eton player was booked for winning the ball fairley but only 10 seconds before a Ruislip player got away with a waist high lunge.This set the pattern for some very strange refereeing.I dont support any of the sides but feel the referee was 100% against the Essex based side.Both sets of players were having niggles all around the pitch but only Eton players getting stopped and cautioned.The sending off was retaliation but if the ref done what was right he would have stopped the game 20 seconds before when the Eton player was getting kicked by 3 Ruislip players again very poor Refereeing.I did witness two spitting incidents 1 from each side the 1st a Ruislip player spat at the Eton player who got sent off and a Eton player who was called a racist name spat at a Ruislip player.The Referee lost control but gave in one favour which is wrong.I watched Ruislip 3 games back and they have 4 or 5 new players 2 i seem to think played for North Greenford i could be wrong.

Well I never, what happened to good old Townies V Abbotts banter!

 

I remember going over to RM and they had to win to get promotion. A large crowd saw, I think it was Dean Green scuff a goal in the dying seconds for us to win 2-1. Oh happy memories, they put it down as an own goal which in fact might have been better!
