The tannoy works fine if you have the settings right.

 

I have no problem hearing the announcements at Windsor games, except when a plane goes over, but not a lot you can about those.

 

I have noticed a distinct difference between the two types of microphones that the announcers use.

 

Roy tends to use the wireless mic which doesn't give very good quality, I know because I have tried to use it. He also seems to have it turned up too much which causes a lot more distortion.

 

Yes, the speakers may need updating, but if you take a short time to adjust the levels it does the right job.
