If we can manage to beat Eastboune we have drawn Histon at home, which is a very winnable game and would put us in the last 16.

 

There's good money to be made in the trophy and with some of the other conf teams have fairly tough draws, so it would be great if we could do well to make up for the lost revenue from the FA Cup.

 

As we are unlikely to be in either a promotion or releagation fight this season maybe we can be one of the teams that takes this cup seriously. Wouldn't it be good to have something to look forward to at the end of the season.

unlikely to be involved in a relegation battle? im not so sure. Have not seen that many reasons why we would not be since our tumble down the league recently.

i heard the eastboune game through radio kent and sounded like we play to well .

I think a few things could go in our favour, namely the awfulness of Leigh and the fact that we have to play Burton and Forest Green at home.

The Southport style bid to get relegated has slowed but as jc mentioned elsewhere on this forum we need to stop leaving games talking about us having nearly scored.

Striker needed desperately, talk of dropping who we have defeats the object - drop them for who?

A potentially tricky game against Histon, since they are looking good in their division, albeit two levels below us. However, I don't have much confidence in us for the replay anyway, to be honest - (the original) Paul Harrison's piece in the programme on Saturday about our best ever Trophy finish being the last 16 - and that only on two occasions - really drummed it home.

Well there is an opportunity to be grasped here, but tonight's replay will not be easy. Just think we might get more space down there. Hope the team plays well and we come through and then we can get a win against Aldershot at the weekend.
