What Next?

So lads. when are those 14 days up. When are those further 14 days up. Should we do another get to gether or not? When, if so, should it be done and where. Same place? Need 14 days notice to give to police. Maybe less if we are allowed. Any and all new suggestions required for taking this a step further or to another level.Do we have the time? Lots to do in a short time. Am looking for your input guys. What else can we do? If further demo then what date do you suggest. Can someone who is good at "linking" (not like me) do a link from our petition to those councillors you see below that have e.mails. Dont matter if more than one person does it. Lets ram it down there throats shall we. Show them the feelings of ordinary people. Who can help here. These e.mail addresses can be got at the thanet council site under "members of the council". See if I was good at this I could have either done it myself or given you their e.mail addresses as shown on the TDC site. Let me know if anyone can take on this task. To Computer literate people it wouldnt take more than 10 minutes tops.

Just a link address to them will suffice and maybe with the words "look at this" or something. Please can someone be of help with this. Get them to tune in every day to read the messages before the main deliverance to the leader of the council of such petition. Thanks, cookie

Maybe send a link also to Tony Blair,Roger Gale,Michael Howard and more superior politicians too. Come on it wont hurt. If you are good at computers and linking it wont take you very long.

Its easy to get their e.mail addresses at the their private place or at parliament.

Really needs to be done pronto though so that they can tune in to petition everyday to read the messages. Gets them into a frame of mind so to speak.

Its not what I say.You dont have to go through me. I am just like you lot striving for our exsistence. If you think it good then go for it. Anything you can think of will help. Look forward to seeing you there doing the business. Good on you! Keep it up. We must not stop this pressure on the council. If people think of things then DO THEM. Just so long as its clean dosent slag anyone off and sticks to the truth and the matter in hand.

Tony, I think we should ask tentatively submit a plan to demonstrate after the 28 days, i say tentatively because of the 14 day part, but i really feel a get together on 10th i think it is would be great, hopefully to sing some songs and finish with a celebration, it would be awesome to all be together at the time of the decision

Thats a FABULOUS idea but wont we have to ask the councils permission to go onto the ground even though it really belongs to us, the people of Margate.

Surely the club still have a lease on the ground at the moment ? Up to them whether it'd be allowed I'd guess

This is an awesome idea, maybe the night before the final decision, would be great publicity, and would be awesome for the fans to be home! Maybe we could pay a small amount, say between 2-5 pounds, and get some money together for the club at the same time

I think whatever we do it is essential to maximise publicity

and keep the campaign in the media whenever and wherever possible.

If the club still has the lease then think you just have to advise the police about what is going on, so that residents don't call them believing strange characters are destroying what is left of Hartsdown (I mean to say that is what Sandy is trying to do isn't)

Am concerned that IF the surveyors report DOES go against us the council won't wait those extra 14 days to get rid of us. So my thoughts were to do something roughly about the same time that report went in at the end of the first 14 days. Otherwise anything after that may be too late to turn the council round.

Having said that the fight WOULD go on even if that WERE to happen. Well, I for one will continue to fight. Cant speak for everyone else.

It would be brilliant to get like a "Greenham Common" type pilgramage, with a long-term vigil.

 

(and I realise that the Greenham Common people were opposed to the land they were camping at, but the ethos of supporting a dream could be carried on!)

Yep that was a bit embarrassing when they turned up although at least it meant that one local was concerned about the ground.

Any publicity like the overnight camp will be useful I am sure
