Easy lads, just a jest.

It wasnt the best crowd no, would have hoped for a few more. Having said that, they didnt bring too many, was probably bout 2/3rds ricay. Thats twice this season weve had a lot more home fans than usual, hopefully some of them will become regulars.

I am 'associated' with BILLEricay, because i support them. lived there since age of 3, fan since age of 13 or so. named myself cardiff because im at uni in cardiff and so conseqently can only make it to bout 20 games a season.

thanks for the good luck against exeter, were gonna need it!

oh and not really one to talk about crowds, dropped a bit since november havent they?

ps. im not into tennis

I know its banter, all taken lightly. Had some good banter with the devon lads yesterday, all good fun. ALthough 'small town near chelmsford' was the best they came up with, which is technically true

As for promotion, im gonna say no. Yeading 12 points ahead of us now, and were never the best with important games so the play offs are probably a no no. One more year and some more experience and well probably do it. But i dont think well get promoted this year. Will you?

Only joking mate good luck to the Ricay we had some stirring games against them last season, what about the fracas at our place in the cup ?

Funny when you look back on it.

Ere CarBTFC when we went to Cardiff in May we found the Wig and Pen nice and comfy before the WH v CP game and the bar opposite Eco something, got excellent service though.

Cheers, hopefully it wont be too long before were playing each other again (in the conf south that is). Cardiff is a nice city, always fun when the big footy games come around. Even the ldv final when saafend came down last year was a great atmos. Still, quietly looking forward to finishing uni and returning to deepest darkest Essex. Means more footy!

>>>>small crowd you had at billericay yesterday, only 1300

We went to Billericay v Exeter - it was the biggest 1300 crowd I have ever seen - it looked to be around 2000 - just goes to show how wrong one can be. Billericay were coasting, and then went to sleep and let it all slip away. Excellent performance from Danny Kerrigan at left back, but the Billericay centre forward could have had it all cut and dried when he had only the keeper to beat - he beat the keeper, but put the ball wide.

I would guess that Exeter had about 200 to 300 supporters - decked out in red and white stripes.

ALso went to Purfleet v Aldershot today - very small crowd, only about 600 to 700 - very few supporting Purfleet - Aldershot had the entire open terrace and the terrace behind the goal - Purfleet only got the flat standing area in front of the main stand. Aldershot were not all that impressive, and Purfleet deserved their win. Dave Lee scored on 56.

The £10 admission was a bit on the steep side, though.

>>>where the Aldershot lot decked out in combats?

They were very well behaved and very quiet. Though their chorus of "12 green bottles" aimed at the twelve police all standing in a line at the Hotel overlooking the ground certainly had an effect - the police all moved.

>>don't think some of the conference big sides really value the trophy

The Exeter players certainly went made when they equalised.
