SLOUGH TOWN v HENDON: MATCH THREAD (4-3)

Gyoury - Hakki

Steer - Wilko

Murphy - Spencer

Thought Hodgey or Harris were back to their best. Bit harsh on Veli Hadders - thought he did well for 60, but then got tired (playing on Tuesday and his 1st start for ages on a heavy pitch).

I thought it was Mets best game for us and will give him MOM since he's returned as well apart from a sloppy last 10 when all were pretty poor as despite being down to 10 men we should have held the ball better.

Right team won, no doubt about that. I was just pleased to see us actually put some effort in today - our 2nd half performance was much much better than we've seen recently.

Stupid first booking for Murphy - he was booked for wasting time because he was in the penalty area doing up his boots!

Quality save by Parkin to save the equaliser right at the end.

Good luck in the next round

I'm guessing but you're a team that doesn't score too many right? Usually 1 or 2 wins you a game?

Seeing as you only put 4 past our joke of a defence, and we almost nicked the most undeserved replay ever, it was a pretty entertaining game. Fantastic overhead kick for our 2nd, awful awful penalty by John Frendo, good goal afterwards though. Your penalty was a [****!!****] joke, never never never a penalty, and we can't buy a win at the moment.

Best of luck for the next round

note - we probably were the worst team you've seen this season, that was us on a GOOD day.

Roger will appreciate this one. On Paul's highlights (ruined by people walking in the way or standing in the way, otherwise excellent as normal), listen carefully for the 'Bloody Hell. I don't believe it.' It's Rogers mate from the Chelmsford away game in the league

That was a proper cup game, lots of goals and incidents, well worth the travelling.

Hendon were bloody awful in the first half and we were just ripping them apart - hopefully we can start scoring goals again.

Thought the Hendon support was excellent as well.

Can we get Crawley or Eastbourne away in the next round please.

Fair assessment that Paul. We laughed at the penalty because it was the second week running Hodgey had won us a soft pen. Then minutes later there was a more clear cut one that he waved away. Silly silly game - we seemed that we could score when we needed to but made a fine effort of forcing a replay. Good result pleased to make it and well done to all the Hendon fans for coming and making a noise despite your recent form.
