I enquired at Montem Sports centre today about the 5 a side match and it would be about £3.30 for ten people for an hour.

Not sure, i will give them a ring and tell you at football.

Right i just phoned, the lady said as a member I can book 3 weeks in advance and if you book in advance then you can usualy have your pick of times.

Well people? Thursdays or Mondays would appear to be the best days at say 7pm? Who's up for it?

Mondays sound good, dont you have your STST meetings on Thursdays?

 

I was also looking at the powerleague site, maybe next time we could join a league?

Let's get into Montem first and see what the demand/standard is like. I know the Powerleague can be quite a good standard, although it would be quite good to put one over the Slough Observer team that plays in one of those leagues! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Myself, Radders and Matt took part in the Lego powerleague event, great fun but VERY hard work.

Well it would be one or the other. I'm presuming Powerleague has a minimum age limit as well for players?

Yeah, I'm up for 5 a side. Either night's good for me. Hopefully we can speak to people at footie today and get an idea of number's and get it sorted. I need the exercise, that's for sure!!!!!

Monday sounds good to me. That way I should be able to join my colleagues who are looking to start up our 5 a side again on a thursday

Just a shame I can't do Wednesday's or Thursday's otherwise i'd be up for powerleague - as for the Observer team I think half of their team do not even work there now!

From the info received yesterday, I believe Dom is going ahead with booking for Monday nights (maybe you could confirm Dom). Should be a good laugh and then, as I think Gary pointed out, we could consider joining Powerleague next year when we are all well trained, highly toned, athletic specimens (BTW I'm quite aware that I am already ahead of everyone in this respect)!!!!!
