Evening all.

I see that you do not have a game tomorrow so thought I'd ask on the off chance that some of you may want to pop "down the road" to watch our FA Trophy game with Cambridge City.

 

It looks as if it is going to be a certain Jim Stannard's first game in charge for us and I'm sure he would appreciate some support from the Urchins (cos he might be a bit surprised by our lack of home support!).

Come and watch Big Jim S and wish him your best. Billericay bloke admits that they would have a bumper crowd anyway so they dont need you....WE DO!! Daggers will have at least 5 times the size of our crowd too!

To be fair to Purfleet, the last time I went there (for the Grays game), it was children for £1.

 

And it was even cheaper than that, as he did not want any food there - the queue was far too long.

 

But what did annoy me about Purfleet, was that when they played Oldham, three sides of the ground - both ends and the open terrace on the far side - were allocated to Oldham supporters, and the home supporters only got the flat standing in front of the main stand, the main stand itself, and a very small part of the covered terrace at the entrance end of the ground.

 

This meant that one side was very crowded, whilst there were acres of space in the Oldham section - we looked in, and quickly decided we were "Oldham" supporters - the Purfleet policy was totally ridiculous, as children could not get a decent view unless they were into the Oldham section.

 

For this match, Purfleet did not increase their prices either.
