Got a phone call from police asking me about this meeting on WEDNESDAY evening. Told him I had nothing to do with it and to contact Roy Ovenden.

Agree that after last night there is not really a reason to go. O.k so we all want to know the answers,(Ezekiels answers only might I add), but in the light of last night it may be better to let dogs lie for the moment as we dont want to stir things up at this stage do we. What do you lot think?

I cannot see how a public meeting could be necessary or desirable at this stage whilst negotiations are still going on with the club.

If the club finally win the go ahead it would be unnecessary anyway.

It wouldnt be a waste of time. We need to show we support margate all the way. Anyway could be fun to see Ezekiel faced with all of our questions

I am a bit wary of 'alternative meetings'. I would go to one supported by, and attended by, the club, as well as other interested parties, but not otherwise.

Whilst I have been invited to the meeting I shall not be attending. I do not believe that any benefit will arise from such a meeting at this delicate stage,the last thing we want to do is to antagonise either party. I would respectfully request that all supporters give serious thought to not attending the meeting.

I feel it not to be advantageous to go and without us there the meeting will surely be a flop and may even be cancelled.

However,having said that that thing of curiosity comes out and some are bound to go even if just to hear whats going on. To be truthful I am curious and IF I did go my mouth would remain shut for the entirety. I was going to go previously but even though things have somewhat changed things do feel that I might be missing something if I didnt go. Am still in two minds but any aggravation from any Margate supporter to the leader must not occur at this stage. Would have to keep their cool. Let the members of the public to the asking and talking. Thats my honest opinion about this meeting and as mentioned am still in two minds. But it may get the chop anyway so that would make my mind of for me anyway.

I agree a meeting at this stage would serve no useful purpose and indeed could be harmful to our cause.

 

Our energies and efforts are needed in more purposeful activity.

I think it important that the meeting is attended by true MFC fans.As a shareholder in the club I have been at Annual General Meetings when Roy Ovenden has also been there and he has no love for KP and his efforts on behalf of the Club. I am concerned that he has his own agenda!

The Wednesday night meeting can only be of advantage to those who are working against the interests of Margate FC.

It will :-

1. provide a platform for more TDC propaganda.

2. seek to persuade supporters that there is an alternative

3 thereby weakening the supporters resolve.

 

The meeting cannot strengthen our efforts and has not been called by either the club nor MISA.

 

At this stage it cannot help our cause.

 

Do you remember how a meeting last season between the

previous supporters club and the Leader of the Council against the direct wishes of the club did a great deal of harm? In fact it lay the seeds for the TDC's alternative plans.
