We have a West Indian gentleman who comes into our local club, and he is called, affectionately, 'Sooty'. He loves it !

Why do we, in leafy Surrey, refer to young girls from Essex as 'Sharron' ?

 

Why do we call Irishmen 'Paddy' ?
