Has anybody seen the front page of today's NLP? It doesn't look too good although I wouldn't believe everything the NLP says!!

I know some of you only buy the NLP for the hornchurch content, so here is all the hfc content since we're not playing at the weekend....

 

HORNCHURCH FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL

 

New Hornchurch managing director Jon Smith has warned fans the club is two weeks away from extinction as they face up to their second crisis in three months.

 

Owner Karl Williams - scarcely seen at Bridge Avenue since the demise of his company Coldseal in November - returned this week, sacking chairman Gary Calder and appointing two of his own men in a bid to save the club.

 

Secretary Mick Ewen is currently mulling over an offer to stay - with new managing director Smith and chief executive Brain Eagling charged with the task of keeping the Urchins alive.

 

Smith said: "We have to decide whether the club carries on, goes into administration or is liquidated. It is a very real possibility we will be liquidated.

 

"It's a very, very serious situation. If it wasn't for Karl coming back this club would have gone into administration or liquidation by next week.

 

"Karl has taken control of the club and given me a small pot of money to try to save it. He's done it out of his own pocket.

 

"I have to play with that money and see if I can sort the debts out. If I can achieve that in the next fortnight, the club survives. If not, it folds.

 

"It will be down to supporters coming through the turnstiles, into the restaurant and the bar."

 

Chairman Gary Calder was told on Monday morning that his services were no longer required.

 

Ewen had a crisis meeting with Smith on Thursday morning, during which he was urged to stay - but he told the NLP: "I wish the club all the best and I love it but I'm not going back. Too much has been said already.

 

"Nobody has seen Karl at the club since he pulled the plug on the sponsorship three months ago so I had no inkling of what was going to happen - it was a bombshell.

 

"I'm very upset, it would have been easy for Gary and myself to leave and we could easily have walked away three months ago, but we've moved heaven and earth to try to fulfil the fixtures.

 

"I really feel for the supporters and the staff - I don't know how they are going to cope with a second state of turmoil in three months."

 

Smith added: "As far as team matters are concerned (manager) Garry Hill is the manager of Hornchurch and remains the manager. Anything involving the players is entirely up to him.

 

"He is aware of the financial situation the club is in and he has to do what he sees fit. He has to make decisions based on the information we give him."

As I said don't believe all the NLP say. Their view of Hornchurch seems to be a very dim one!

The article in the NLP is rubbish anyway. Thank god for Karl Williams stepping back into the club, I think its about time for you supporters to get behind the club and be united because Hornhurch is a great club.

 

When the truth comes out, I think you'll be running to Karl Williams to apologise for some of the posts on this forum defending Gary Calder. Do your homework! Gary Calder is the biggest con-man I have ever met. He only has one interest - Himself and my god has he sucked some of you in!

 

And to you "voiceofreason" (Darren). Set up an open forum anywhere you choose and invite Gary Calder. Post a date and time of this event and I will be there with evidence to back my arguement.

 

The truth will out.

the poor girl spent nearly 5 minutes typing all that and emailing it to me so i could cut and paste it onto here for you.
