good press this morning.....

Heard Sandy talking to John Warnett on RK this morning, he really does sound this time that he want's to help you out of your plight - even to the point of helping you through the legal minefield of getting council consent.

Seize this opportunity with both hands.

No more slagging SE and TDC off until after the month is up (if TDC turn you down).

I miss those Xmas derbies, and I would like them back one day. The banter and p*ss taking out of each other just isn't the same against teams like Acrrington and Crawley.

Very best of luck.

Sure that is not him realising he was in the wrong all along and that he had not gauged public response properly.

Let us get our ground and the knives will be out for him then. Don't bother thinking about a greater political career Sandy, the damage has been done and not just with the football ground.

I was very suprised to hear SE admit on the John Warnett show that the tdc had not (as KP as always said)assisted the club by letting them know exactly what they required in the business plan. He said it was not upto the council.( bad politics) that is as it maybe, BUT, if as the council have stated they were doing there best to help then this is a contradiction. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/bow.gif" alt="" />

Is there anyway that those of us who couldnt manage to hear John Warnets interview this morning with S.E.can get to hear it on the web somewhere.Or is it forgotten once given on his programme. In which case I at lease would like to know more of what he said.

Cookie

Just spoke to a nice lady at Radio Kent. Unfortuately as the breakfast show covers topical subjects they dont repeat it, however it may be possible that Matt Davidson might use it in the sports programme tomorrow after 2pm.

Here is hoping as I missed the interview too.

I came in at the bit where SE was saying how he supported the football team and how it had always been his wish to see the club back at Hartsdown! It was interesting to hear SE say he did not consider the business proposal to be a business proposal because it was called a submission to the commercial project by the funders. Surely it is substance not semantics that should be the issue.

Also I was interested to hear the reporter press him on whether he believed the funders had the finance in place, given that that had been the reason for turning the project down until recently. SE then said that although he believed it, due diligence checks had to be done.

I thought Gordon Wallace very impressive in that quiet way of his when he answered the question on how the club would react if the independant scrutiny were to say the project was not viable - he said if the project were not viable why would the development team want to proceed with it?

As a card carrying member of the Tory party I will not rest until I see the head of Ezekiel as a result of our new ground. He has done nothing publically to back up his words on ANY events that happened in Thanet.

He is the Tory answer to Alister Campbell.
