A Happy New Year to you all and delighted to be back - but I am afraid, with some sad news to relate. Roy Gibson, one of the finest goalkeepers ever, in the Essex Senior League and former player with Canvey Island, Bowers United and Southend Manor passed away this week aged 57. Roy was also the Senior League keeper in Inter-League Representative games in the late 70's and early 80's. A lovely guy with many friends in the game.
