Hmmm ! Technically, I think the last two entries count - however they are both just one letter different from real places and would obviously keep the same pronunciation.

Whilst this alone would not disqualify them,it might be an idea to more rigorously change the spellings for such imaginary placenames which otherwise sound exactly the same as real ones - or, alternatively subtly alter them in some other way so that they no longer sound so similar !

 

On a different note... remembering that previously published faux-placenames are also ineligible for the purposes of this thread - go to http://www.royoftherovers.com/comicstories/rotrstories.htm

 

for a comprehensive list of pretend teams that have featured within "Roy of the Rovers" comic.

 

Otherwise, similar examples might get disqualified on the principal that they are resemblent of simple misspellings of real place names !
