First shot at blocking art centre has been made to Kent County Councillor.

KCC are the lead partners in the Turner Centre and are probably the wrong people to protest to!

I know KCC are leading the plans that is why complaint going to them to delay/stop the white elephant.

Sandy does not want amenities for the people in the town of Margate so I will follow the same line of thought and stop another (although as this one is costing THANET ratepayers alone £3 million (the rest coming from the rest of Kent's population) I am saving you lot money too).

try and get to the demo for 1 and spread the word to ur mates and neighbors lets raise this profile through the roof!!

After the demo tonight people should contact their local Kent County Council and ask questions concerning the cost and site of this centre. Ask for justification for the jump in costs from £12 to £31 million in 4 years, acceptance of a design that is so out of keeping with the surrounding area and why Sea Bathing Hospital was not used.

Additional write to members of Thanet Planning Committee who agreed to the plans (note: no full council involved here) as to why they agreed to hand over land when the KCC plans only required half of what was given and are they aware that the County have agreed to SELL the extra land TDC gave them for FREE to the highest bidder.

Will they claim they were "stitched" up by their County colleagues???

Just spoken to my County Councillor, who despite being a senior member of of the County Party, is unaware of the financial figures involved. Very worrying that as it is our money.

I am sure Sandy is involved somewhere along the line.
