Pre-season so far

Has gone well with some good performances.

 

Reed, Crawshaw, MacKenzie, Hale and Metcalfe all look very good, but still can't help feeling that with Macca and Stotty possibly missing this season we need cover - and cover with a bit of pace. So I still think we need a couple of centre backs.

 

Yes Anthony Howard can play centre back, but he is much better as a right back.

Why are Stotty and Macca missing, and for how long?

Andy deaner is also a massive plus...................why o why are our pre-seasons not shown in any national newspapers.............everyone else's are.......still we dont need any extra through the gates do we? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/upyours.gif" alt="" />

Stotty's contract finished and he has not been retained.

I hope that's tongue in cheek. Andy Deaner in the side is like playing with 10 not 11.

Give Deaner Jnr some credit, he seems an improved player perhaps with some confidence and no undue criticism he could be a useful squad member. Whilst I do not think he should be in the starting XI with 5 substitutes this year a place on the bench will be his. By the sound of Steve Browne's comments Crawshaw will go elsewhere. That leaves us with Hale, Winston and Deaner.
