The only thing worse than Grays ground is the area around it. What a dump it is almost as bad as the area around Villa Park. I usually park my car right by the church and hope it is being watched over.

Gray's were very lucky regarding the Hornchurch collapse.

Hornchurch would easily have won the league with the players they had. Gray's not only saw their only rival for the title disappear but they also got 4 of their players as well.

 

Wish we had that luck in our 3 years as runners up in the Ryman. Just think how easy it would have been back in 2002 if Gravesend had folded half way through the season!
