It looks like the end. Thanet coucil will tomorrow finally put a nail in mfc's coffin.I'm not computer literate enough to do a link so log on to our forum for club statement. This really is terrible so no gloating comments please-we need all the support we can get. T'was nice playing against you.

There will be no gloating from us. I have been following your sad story on your forum for a while, as most Margit regulars will know.

apart from some poor management by the club in the early stages, you really have been stitched up by a Council who want the ground for their own devices (houses) and have used every trick in the book to make it happen.

Even if you do fold, I'm sure it won't be the last we here of this.

I reckon certain individuals will end up in court.

I have just read the margate forum,I did not think it would come to this,it turns you off politics and politicians for life. They appear to have stitched the club up.The supporters of GNFC should draw lessons from this and support the board at Stonebridge Road in resisting the possible Gillingham move to Gravesham, which could be the first nail in our coffin.

Let's hope that it won't come to the county losing a football club. I hope Margate FC live on where ever they play. How can the council do this. Surely the lease agreement has to be given notice before withdrawal, and they should give Margate more time to come up with another idea for the ground. I say KEEP FIGHTING.

Totally agree with Peter W,( even though he is on the dole) We must get back to making our voice heard, No gloating Margate, just sadness that yet another sport is being stitched up by local politicians and business men.

Will make sure I speak to Chas W this weekend about what next.

The inference from their forum is that, after tonight's meeting, the club has an extra two weeks to provide more details, and they will then find out in a further two weeks after that whether work on the ground can be commenced. It seems like their last chance though.
