"MARGATE'S dream move to Hartsdown Park may be over. A report issued by Thanet District Council has recommended negotiations with the club and developers are discontinued.

The report could spell the end for the club who were asked to provide additional information relating to proposals for the site shortly before Christmas.

The new document recommends alternatives for the site at Hartsdown Park are considered, as the council seek other developers' opinions on how else to fund a similar project.

Officials are holding crisis talks with councillors tomorrow with a press conference called for 4.30pm.

If a decision is made to back the report at Thursday's council cabinet meeting, the club say they would have no option but to quit the Football Conference South."

So other developers would be asked to fund an alternative stadium?

Who in their right mind would want to do business with this mob?

And what are they offering? A prestigious club in a nationwide league with the promise of good attendances and an income stream? Not quite if they kill our club. And a council with a track record of stabbing developers in the back?, who are under ccriticism for some other rather dubious development decisions they are in the process of taking?

Caveat emptor, methinks.
