Done my research - it's on 1969's 20/20 which is, apparently, a collection of b-sides and stuff. Available for £5.97 with 1968's Friends album as a 2CD set.

Then again, I'm not the one to ask. I've never understood the hysteria surrounded the Beach Boys. Pet Sounds is rubbish, and the only album of theirs I like is Smiley Smile.

I watched the documentary of one of the Beech Boys - the lead singer and how he lost his mind. And in doing that he wrote the best music of his career. Very interesting.

I think the "Best of the Beach Boys", much like your bog-standard Beatles compilations, is pretty misleading.

 

I should imagine their best of is 90% surfing tunes, is it not? From what I can make out, their best stuff is hidden away on their albums.

Brother Beyond - one hit wonders from the Stock Aitken & Waterman 'stable'. Only slightly better than Big Fun.

Depends what sort of musical 'mood' I'm in.

 

Two completely different genre's of music.

 

At 57 years of age, the sound of the Beach Boys certainly restores fond memories of the summers in the sixties and seventies !
