What are the Cup vouchers in the season ticket for?

So holders can apply for tickets for FA Cup games etc, obviously the club presumed we would progress.

It happens with larger clubs that if the team is drawn away in the Cup season ticket holders get a certain time limit to send in their vouchers and once that time is up they go on general sale.
