Hx Update

I certainly remember Geoff very nice fella who happened to have refereed the likes of Man Utd in his time. I also remember managers such as Brian Kelly, Arthur Wenborn and the legendary Spencer Pratton but I agree with a1itt lets look at the people associated with the club at the moment

IITT I wasn't referring to your status...just referring to the mispelling of a great mans name that you obviously cannot recall as being part of Hx's past...a true giant of none league but sadly forgotten by the new generation of fans...

we always spelled his name wrong and he always complained about it....

a truly great player...referee and thereafter match day secretary for Hx for over 25 years....

god bless...we gave him a great send off around the hallowed turf...

as for the three new directors EMH dad...Brian eagling was with me when we ressurrected the club and took it to the level it was at only 14 months ago until we moved him to our business activities....jennie cliff is my partner who you know well and a man city girl....(god help us all)...she has worked tirelessly for 4 years now on Hx business....never been paid a penny...

she will once again take over the programme editing..

jon smith...well...not many in non league could match his medal count or his 20 years service free of charge to a fellow confsth club...

but for sure we'll benefit from his involvement...

back to serious issues though,i would like to add my thanks to mick ewen and gary calder whatever happens.

those lads have been magnificent since day one of the problems(and before) and it will be sad if they are gone or going as they both were and probably still remain in high esteem by all the hornchurch followers i know and many more.

Echo that.

Thanks Mick

Hope GC stays

tbh its easy to forget on match days that there are the off-pitch problems because everyone else has been fantastic aswell

Good luck to the new directors aswell.

Thanks for the update Unc. Hope all this goes well - I'm sure what you are doing has the best interests of the club at its roots

esu - one thing unc has always said throughout his recent sporadic postings on this forum is that he and the other shareholders are acting in the club's best interests.

carthium group and money issues aside, i do believe that to be the case, especially given the recent withdrawal of that little lad who lost his coat (and, allegedly, something else...)

frustrating to feel so involved, but in reality to be on the outside, i know, but that's the way these things are.

club may be safe, may not. but if i know unc...(and i'll be the 1st to say i probably don't)...whichever way we perceive his actions, i genuinely believe that the fella is a fan of the club. how can a fan be the architect of the downfall?

i do understand unc,we all get frustrated because of the way we care for the club and we know that is only down to how the club has come on in last few years,i am not jumping to conclusions,i fear worse at times(probably down to myself losing a business a while back) but other times i look at what happened since you came here and see what a different place it is and that we've progressed so much
