He might not have been the most gifted player ever to have played for us, but he certainly was not the worst. What he lacked in skill, he made up for in effort. He always tried 100%. I would rather watch a team that tried and wanted to be wearing our shirt, than some of the more skill full mercenaries we have used over the years.

Here here Grandad. One thing you could never fault Andy for was his continued 110% effort he gave despite always getting stick from the crowd. More than a few players during Martyn's reign as chairman could have taken a leaf out of Andy's book.

Having read a few earlier postings about anon users, and that all named posters know each other, I thought I'd better re-introduce myself as I have not posted for a few years. Have watched Slough since pre conference days, but moved to Cheltenham 7 years ago. Get to about 6 games a year now, what with playing most saturday mornings myself (local social type league), and having a young family. Find the forum best way to keep up with whats going on. Keep up the good work, and humorous (?) comments.

Andy may not have been the best player to wear a Slough shirt, but he was probably one of the most hard working to make up for it. Wish him well at Henley
