But Nathan when Gary originally banned anons you said they could all come over to your messageboard. Why the change of heart?

I have stated repeatedly why I don't agree with this and I really can't be bothered to go through all my arguements again.

As Decorum said on a recent thread just ignore the odious anons and they will soon get bored and leave us be. But the recent Anon poster who stated we are not good enough is entitled to his opinion and is entitled to put it on the Slough message board. That does not mean we have to agree with him and if he does not have enough courage to put a name to his opinion that is his problem not ours.

Seeking to suppress views from others lacks self-confidence and is a sign of weakness. I prefer to read others' views and decide for myself whether they are relevant and worthy of consideration or not. All come here voluntarily. If you come here and take exception to any comments made by any posters anonymous or otherwise, and cannot challenge them by intellect or with good humour, just ignore them.

Also my last word on this subject.

I would be interested to see the feeling of those using this site about going over to registered only users to stop ANON posters.

Sorry I don't understand, just cos one is registered one still does not know the posters proper name, does one. So rather pointless i would have thought.

The more people who contribute to this site, the better the site is,if every body has to registar

this will put people off, these people have a right to say what they want as long as they are non threatening and personally abusive, the traffic on this site is now dominated by a few regulars who dont always like what they read.

We at slough have a good club but to be fair we have under acheived at important parts of the season and we must not be scared to admit this.

Dear Anonymous

I think I can speak for a number of the regular posters in saying that we are not averse to unregistered posters, but would rather have some sort of identity to whom we can address replies.

From the style of your English, I would guess that you have posted quite a few times on this board, often with comments that might be considered 'uncomfortable' by many of the regular contributors.

I think your comments would be taken more seriously if you registered or, at the very least, always used the same posting name.

You might even find that the replies were less hostile!

BTW - this site, and most other fora I have encountered, are ALWAYS dominated by a number of extra-regular posters - usually people who socialise away from the forum.

This is not a problem provided that the less-frequent contributors still feel that they can join in.

hi there PJ all dave here.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

oh no not the register thing so soon after christmas. i feel my time yet again is nearly upa again and realy need to some help and as big a warning so i can somehow get regesterd with servere dificulty again as tryed before and failed several times before. i still have not been offered any maijer help with the registraition skills from my tuters yet because they are being examened by the exameners acas or some group and evon when busy the staff have said at the moment that there is no cause for this as it is not an actual lesson so esume that is why that has been kept on the back burner for so long. but will hopefully be brought up again and there could be classes soon to be continued. at preasent the votes are 12 for 19 against and a little worring for me as just got over the ariginal worries late last year and just been reagnited again i belive by stanes rebel.

i don,t feel happy as it is usefull to let people know of change of plans and phosponements ext, ext

now to tuesday nights game unfortunatly seems like we could have a likly -hood of a waterlogged pitch unless anyone has any bright ideas and plenty off forks for getting most of the water away being a problem if it doe's keep raining after tonight and allday tommrow. the forcast latest is for heavy rain overnight but heavy rain and wind more than likely by tommrow night depending again on how much rain we actually get between now and kick off time with a definat likelyhood of a pich inspection about 1800-1830 say to give the other supporters a chance of getting to know wether on or off. i feel that there should be a local ref at about 1500-1600 to give all a fair chance of knowing. also the fact that apperntley the weather could be wet and gale force winds from anytime now until wednesday and also at the end of the week in to the weekend again +++ suprize suprize+++ just when we have or maybe w'ont have are FAT match with hendon.

could be a clasic folks with the weather and both defences a bit wobbly. take care all.

dave programes hopeing to continue on here as usal.

There you go the best post against registration to date. Does anyone really want to miss out on classic posts like that?

Keep it going Dave.

Hi Dave

The registered/non-registered debate is likely to run and run.

We do need to sort out getting you registered (and happy with logging in).

It should not be difficult to find you a user name and password that you can easily remember, and I think you will be happier when this has been sorted.

Marcus had offered to help you, so perhaps he can give you the appropriate help one Saturday after a match.

(I would offer to do the same on a Friday night, but my timing is unlikely to be convenient for you.)

hi dave here. thanks martin and marcus + PJ i feel a little better but need constant practise on here and at college and as stated before have been forced into a new regisster only policy at college which is still giving me the gips. it has taken me since september to actualy sort that log out sytomn but this is for all college rlaited things and would be even more things to think about. maybe things could be left as they are for the time being until maybe a combinaition of marcus and my tuters could get somthing together. either i could struggle over to churchmead school after school=== unprefered as unsure of exits entrances and poor public transport and the like.

i feel that maybe one evening at college a week me my main tuter and i could try and get something off the ground. say 1630-1700 on a day to be agreed as we all have commitments all day and evenings. im regularly at windsor college from 1600-1900 most evenings excepct for things like family'football and the railclub to name but a few and need to be awake and listening carefully and keep practising at least with my tutors help and get to hold on to the diferances of the two afficiol passwords systomns. on saturday from about 1300 will probeberly busy selling programes to keep me active and also keeping a brief i on the crowd on saturday as there is proberbly be a large crowd subject like the bryco game to being killed off due to the possible bad weather. anyway take care and hope we don't have to rearrange onther fixture as the fixture list is conjested now all ready.

cheers all

Oh guess which pr**k has made a reappearance with the Cheshunt game coming up. Martin mentions on another thread that Dave makes a good case for keeping anonymous posters. This twat leads the argument in totally the other direction. Still I suppose he has to come and annoy us as none of his own fans want anything to do with him.
