I 've played football since I as 8.And have watched most levels of footballl since about that age as well. Now I thought the officials were there to make sure the rules of the game were obeyed. And protected players and generally made sure the game flowed in a fair and safe manner. I think I'm wrong. The powres that be have decided that the game lacks excitement. Now how can they generate more passion ? more excitement ? I know we 've got 3 twats running around in black not doing much. Lets introduce them into the game more. A dodgy free kick hear. A penalty turned down there. So what if the fouled players has to be sub'd. Just adds to the general outcry. Whips the crowd up. Adds to the passion of the game. Lets introduce it to the lower divisions for a few years . See how it goes. And I think It's working. The game today was over before the end of the first half. So the ref has to add some daft and clueless decisions. The lino's pick up on this and try to outbid each other and the ref on stupid and dumb decisions as well. And this makes sure that a game that is over bar the shouting. Is kept going by the shouting. What is this? Not a ETFC fan complaining about a ref? I thought that was our job.

Don't get me wrong I'm not moaning ( I think) Its just the ref and his merry men changed the course of the game. Not the goal decisions but the rest of the package. They really did make the game more exciting. The way Romford went about their business after Stanstead pulled it back to 3-2 was a credit to themselves. Everything seemed to be against them but they grafted. The lads done good.

The officals yesterday were not up to standard, some really poor decisons, both ways.

I know what you mean. I don't want to come across as a moaner. I know officials have a tough job. There damned if they do and there damned if they don't. It 's just some times there decisions are so ludicrous. But enough said(good I hear you say.) It 's a dirty job but someone got to do it. And thank God they do, other wise we 'd have no footy. And that would be far worse than any game full of dodgy decisions. I hand the councilers couch to someonelse.
