Yes a big one to all those who participated last night, this is my first time to post as the forum has been down.

You lads were great and a big thanks to Tina, Shirley and the honourable Sally for getting the Nosebag ready.

As I said last night, not many clubs could organise Urchin Aid and a Staff v Fans game in Mid Winter with the benefits going to the club at such short notice.

Well done to Frank, you're a great bloke mate, and please take heart in the way your boys played.

Also a big thanks to Barry Fox, with whatever kept you together, but why keep us waiting for 5 minutes?

MOM, Mr Pete EMH himself, yes I agree a Diamond Geezer

Oh by the way we lost at EB today, I won't comment except to say that UB "When you gonna finish that ref course?"

Thanks Max.....Your a top bloke yourself. Just one thing though, you are going to have to calm down a bit fellow.....After I.C. got sent off today i would have hated to be in the Ref`s boots if you had of been able to get hold of him. At your age you have to keep the blood preasure down.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in making last night possible, it really was a great night even though we got beat.

I myself would also like to say a big THANK YOU to all the supporters who played. You all gave 100% effort which is all that can be asked for. WELL DONE LADS

Fitness training is very much needed, as is getting used to playing together.

A bit more <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/dancingman.gif" alt="" /> and a bit less <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_smokin.gif" alt="" /> and <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cheeburga.gif" alt="" /> !!!

Don't think we need any technical coaching though, as we are, of course, all technically perfect. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

A few years ago I watched West Ham v Bradford at Upton Park. The Hammers were 4-2 down with about 30 minutes to go. Dean Saunders hit the post for Bradford and if that had gone in I would probably have got up and left early. We went on to win 5-4 with Frank Lampard scoring the winner in an exhilerating game.

Agree with 1inthetree, I never leave a match early especially with Canvey's reputation of saving themselves at the death!!
