See you over there Jimmy. Should we perhaps hold back on running them down until we see what they've got to offer? You never know, we might just get a game of football as opposed to the assassination matches we've seen so far. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cool_shades.gif" alt="" />

I did hear that the Bromley game was a tad "competitive".

Perhaps we should get Luke Anderson and Darren Broderick back to perform some "competitive" challenges.

Anyone see the game last night?? Any comments on how we performed?

As with the Bromley game, don't read too much into the result. Billericay's confidence grew with their lead and they were worthy 3-0 winners on the night, but with only 5 probable starters (my own guess) in the line up, it was hard to glean any real information from this game as to how the league form will go. On the plus side, nobodys head dropped and there were a few patches where we dominated but lack of experience showed through, and an old 'Fleet problem, bad finishing, reared its head and robbed us of a more respectable scoreline. For those of us who saw both games, there is a vast difference between Div. 1 (Great Wakering) and the premier and one wonders if our own step up will be as big, although a full strength G+N, I would imagine, would more than cope with things.

There certainly was some player's with potential last night. I knew after the early Free Kick from billerciay when we conceded the goal, that it was not to be our day. We hit the bar, missed open header's, cleared the bar (and the stand) but thats how football is sometimes. The heat last night didnt help either. We certainly looked the better side after the 1st Goal all the way up to half time then we came out in the second half and I felt that we did not create enough space to get the chance's like we did in the 1st half. At the end of the day, andy had to give the new lads a chance and it couldnt be any better time than now while playing friendly's. Let just hope we cream the c*nvey!. So is anyone off to Met police game tonight?.
